The Importance of Using Hamilton Casters

Posted on by Michael

The Hamilton Caster Company is a 102-year-old family-owned manufacturer of high-quality, heavy-duty industrial casters. But despite the company’s stellar reputation, they were experiencing problems with its business model. Their production schedules were often delayed, and millions of dollars of inventory were sitting on their shelves. Moreover, they were missing key components that prevented them from assembling their finished products.

Effortless Material Handling

For over 100 years, Hamilton casters have helped professionals handle the most challenging material-handling jobs. They help increase efficiency, decrease non-productive handling time, and reduce the risks associated with handling. These products also improve the space utilization of a facility. They also allow for easy forward and reverse motion, as well as upward and down in some new stacking systems. Furthermore, they are highly adaptable to changing production practices and locations. The type of wheel and the load on it are important factors that affect the ergonomics of material handling. But another critical factor is acceleration, which is often overlooked. Hamilton tests all its wheel products at a controlled acceleration rate, allowing it to compare the different models. This ensures that the wheel meets the required standards for ease of movement.

Hamilton Caster is a family-owned company that manufactures industrial casters, wheels, carts, and trailers. They are renowned for delivering premium quality and customized solutions. Moreover, many of their standard products can be shipped on the same day. This allows for quick and convenient delivery, especially when shipping large items across the U.S. or worldwide.

Rugged Internals

Hamilton casters are built to withstand the rigors of industrial environments. They feature various wheel styles, durable construction, and rugged internals to handle the most demanding applications. Their heavy-duty line includes models with capacities from 300 lbs to 4,000 lbs. They are crafted with premium forged steel and a life-of-the-casting warranty.

The Hamilton Series 7200 casters have pneumatic rubber-tired wheels. This line is designed to meet the demands of high-capacity applications, including aerospace and heavy-duty industrial machinery. The casters also feature dually mounted wheels to withstand shock and abrasion. Hamilton heavy-duty dual-wheel casters are designed to minimize the overall height and maximize capacity and stability. Available in wheel diameters from 3-1/4″ to 16″, Hamilton heavy-duty dual wheel casters deliver long-lasting performance and silent operation. These casters are available in multiple wheel styles and capacities and can be customized to fit a particular application.

Advanced Swivel Technology

Advanced swivel technology on Hamilton heavy-duty forged steel casters provides superior performance. This double-contact design outperforms standard CNC-machined ball raceways and kingpin-less swivel constructions. This technology is available in various sizes and is an option on most standard models. It is recommended for heavy-duty applications.

Swivel casters are commonly used in hospitals and malls, where they reduce heavy loads when moving around. The convenience they offer is expected to drive the market growth, although the cost of raw materials may limit its expansion. The report also includes an analysis of the market’s competitive dynamics. Advanced swivel technology is essential for heavy-duty applications. This technology helps ensure optimum caster performance under high-load conditions. Besides bearings, Hamilton casters also have forged top plates that resist corrosion. Another essential feature is the swivel lead, the distance between the wheel center and the swivel section. Generally, a longer swivel lead improves swivel performance and makes turning easier.

Three-Year Warranty

Hamilton casters come with a three-year warranty on select casters and wheels. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. In case of an issue, the manufacturer will cover the freight charges for a replacement. If you have any questions, contact Hamilton customer service. Warranty applies to Hamilton casters purchased after January 1, 1996. Any other warranty is disclaimed by the manufacturer. It does not cover incidental, consequential, or enhanced damages. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper installation, or improper maintenance. Furthermore, the warranty does not cover damages for loss of profit, revenue, or diminished value.
